Disneyland Part 2

Day 3 we were off to California Adventures.  We quickly got a fast pass to Radiator Springs Racers because the typical line wait was about an hour which probably wasn't bad considering the time of the year, but we didn't especially want to wait that long.

 

We saw Goofy hanging out with not much of a line so we ran over to get his autograph and a picture.  For some reason Ella wasn't too excited about it.  We couldn't get her in the picture with us. 

 

 

We went to a SUPER awesome 3D movie in a bug tunnel about A Bugs Life.  It was pretty neat with all the special effects like spiders coming out of the ceiling, rollers on the seats so it felt like bugs were running under you, being sprayed with "bug spray" so much you couldn't even see your hands in front of you.  Ella wasn't the biggest fan, but I thought it was pretty amazing.

 We got to ride Maters Junkyard Jamboree and spin in circles while we listened to a catchy jingle sang over and over by Mater.

 

Pretty impressive little place,  Flo's Café where we ate dinner one night. 

 Got our picture with the famous Lightening McQueen.

 

Sadly this is where my camera quit.  My lens broke.  Not sure if I bumped it in my backpack somehow or what.  :(  Super sad!  But my pictures are blurry from this point on so thankfully, we have a mixture of pictures from mom & dad's camera too.

 

We made a reservation at Ariel's Grotto a few weeks in advance so we could have lunch there on Friday afternoon.  The first person we got to meet was Ariel.

 

They gave Ella a little crown to decorate and then each princess visited our table one by one and autographed Ella's book, had a picture with her and gave her a hug.  It was pretty impressive and especially exciting for the little princess.

 

 

 

After lunch we went for a few more rides like Ariel's Undersea Adventure and the Silly Symphony Swings and then sat on Mickey's Fun Wheel. 

 

 

 

 

 

We opted for the solitary cart rather than the rolling one.  I'm glad we did because it was frightening enough to go up that high in the wind.

 

 

 

When we got down, Phineas & Ferb were hanging out so dad hopped in a picture with them. 

 

Went to Toy Story Midway Mania and shot laser guns.  It was SUPER fun!  We rode it a few times because it was a little competitive between mom & dad.  :) 

 

We got to ride King Triton's Carousel.

 

After dinner at Flo's we caught our fast pass on Radiator Springs Racers.  It was super fun!  However, it was about 10 or so by that point so we headed back to catch our bus and walk to the motel for some sleep before day #4 of fun!
