BSA Shotgun Shoot

Dad invited Dustin and my brothers to the Boy Scouts of America Shotgun Shoot again this year.  I asked him to take some pictures for me since these boys don't usually think of stuff like that and I am so happy he did.  I just love them!

Jeremy brought them some Home Depot aprons to hold their ammo in this year which I guess turned out to be pretty handy and kinda funny too.

They have a good time shooting hundreds of bullets throughout the day and supporting the scouts.

Wheel Barrow Ride

We were trying to load some of the dirt off our lawn into the garden using the wheel barrow and the girls decided they needed a ride in the PJs.  Dad pushed them around the yard for a while.

Doesn't he look thrilled. :)  Mostly because he is having yet another picture.
Thanks for posing girls.

Happy Anniversary - 11 years!

Dustin and I got to celebrate our 11 year anniversary on Friday.  It's hard to believe 11 years has gone by since we looked like this.

We are so blessed that our marriage has been so great.  I got to give some marriage advice at a bridal shower this past weekend and the best advice I could give was to attend the temple often, be humble and involve the Lord and He will take care of you.  I really feel like that has been the formula to our success of 11 years and 3 kids.

Dustin surprised me Friday morning by getting out of bed at 7am and slowly pulling his drawer open to get dressed.  It immediately woke me up and I said, "You going somewhere?"  He was bummed that I caught him.  (He never gets ready that quietly)  He was sneaking out to buy some ingredients to make breakfast.  I didn't want to disappoint so I quickly went back to sleep ;).

He came home and made everybody a ham and egg sandwich with orange juice poured in cups with straws, flowers on the table and a fruit tray with yummy vanilla bean dip.  Impressive!

After breakfast he and Ella made some yummy pastry with pastry puffs and cream cheese.  Never seen him cook so much! :)  He said he can do it once in 11 years so it stays special.  However, he did admit he had a lot of fun doing it which makes me happy.  I guess it took me 11 years to get brave enough to lay our the expectations that I really do want him to do something special on our anniversary and my birthday and Mothers Day.   I LOVED IT!!

After breakfast we dropped the kids off with my sister in law and we headed with the Floyds out to the snake river on a jet boat.   It was so stinking fun!  We saw 2 bald eagles hunting fish - pretty awesome and also a lady moose on the bank.  She moved before I could get a picture.

TJ gave us a fly fishing tutorial.  He set up a canopy brought lawn chairs and grill and all the supplies to make us a hamburger as well as our favorite sodas.  Pretty darn spoiled!!

It was beautiful!

Our absolute favorite part was the water fall.  We got to swim over and climb up to it.  It was amazing to feel the huge rush of water hitting your back.

Dustin felt like King of the Jungle I think. :)

Happy Anniversary to my best friend!  I love you Dustin and am so grateful Heavenly Father has allowed us to spend our lives and eternity together.  I truly have been blessed.

Primary Party

The Johnsons down Iona road used to be in our ward and are always so kind to let us do a Primary party in their yard.  They plug the canal and flood the yard and it's a super large amount of land for about 100 kids to run around and splash for 2 hours.  My kids love it!

This year we went and got our cousin Amy from day care and took her with us.

Ella played with one of her BFFs - McKenzie Lee.

It is such a blessing to live in a ward close to lots of good friends and be able to run about doing fun activities like this.

For fun this week.

Ella and I got to go on a "date" to IHOP and Target while grandma watched Alissa & Molly.  She was so pleased and giggled most of the way home which made me feel like I accomplished my goal.  I love these individual times with the kids.

We've been doing a few session at Ammon pool here and there to improve our swimming skills since we didn't do swimming lessons this summer.  I do think it's helping and didn't realize what a big chicken Molly is of the water and Alissa is a big fish.  She was doing front flips off the side of the pool.

Cousins came over for a while and apparently it was a good idea to put on a panda hat and play doctor.

2 year old trouble!

And then a little dress up in the garage while riding bikes.?

Alissa got her hair cut!  Before:

Super cute Lissa!

Molly trying to take off wearing daddy's boots.

We took cookies to all the kids Primary teachers with a little thank you note for FHE on Monday night.  They loved delivering them to their teachers door all by themselves.  We are so blessed that they have good teachers.

The girls and I got to go with my parents, Heidi & Kenny and Lisa and the girls to the drive in over the weekend while Dustin was at his campout.  They blew up an air mattress and put it in the bed of the truck which the 2 little girls and I got to lay on and the bean bag went in the bed of Lisa's truck.  It made for some comfy movie watching.  We watched Despicable Me 2.  It was a super fun time!

Dustin and the scouts went up to Aldous Lake on their first backpacking trip and had a great time catching fish, frogs and learning lots of fun things.

Oh good summer days.  I am sad to see them ending in less than a month, but am happy that we still have that long to continue to play and have good weather and sunshine.

MUD pile

At the very beginning of summer we ordered a big load of dirt to put into a strawberry planter Dustin had put together for us.  We had quite a bit more than we needed and it got left on the yard.  Soon the kids discovered it and made it their little dirt pile.  Their favorite thing is to take the hose out and make pools of water.

Who says girls can't play in mud?

And the skirts just make it a little more comfy.

Love these girls.  After cleaning up and Molly falling asleep Alissa and I made a little boat for her fairy to ride in.

We even added different colors to make it fun.  Alissa loved it and I love that smile!

Our Garden 2013

This year we planted some carrots, cilantro, radishes, potatoes, corn,

cabbage

peas

onions

jalapeno

green peppers

50 strawberry plants

Roma tomatoes

another kind of tomato that I don't remember cause my MIL gave it to me

Our blueberry plant is still going and had 1 berry on it this year.

sunflowers

pumpkins, cucumbers and zucchini

Once again we are growing an amazing crop of weeds that I cannot keep up with but it is still fun to watch the vegis grow and have fresh potatoes, tomatoes and peas out of the garden.
