Camping.. Scout Camp, a Baptism & a Birthday Party

Dustin went to Scout Camp for a week so we loaded the kids up and went camping too.  My mom has been telling me how great their friends, The Rockwoods, dry farm is so we decided to go up there.  They have a fun little zip line that only goes quickly when there is enough weight in it (like me).  The kids thought it was fun though.

Ella and Lincoln especially loved their dog, Sadie.

After camping there Wednesday-Friday we headed home and unloaded so we could go see dad at Scout Camp that night.  He was staying at Little Lemhi so we got to drive past the square ice cream store and get a treat on our way.

We got to see where Dustin's camp was and watch some awards, skits and the retiring of a flag.

Lincoln thought it was pretty amazing.  He was hooting & hollering just like the other boys.

Saturday morning we got up and went to Kaitlynn's baptism where all these cute girls sang "When I am Baptized."  They did a great job!  We had lunch at their house after.

We had about a 2 hour break before heading to the next big shin dig which was Savanna's birthday party over at Devin & Johnnas.

So fun to hang with both sides of the family in one day.

David rented a pretty cool water slide and of course Uncle Devin thought Lincoln wanted to go for a slide.  He wasn't too sure about it though.

However, Ella and all the other kids loved it.

In line for the pinata.

Check out those leg muscles on Alissa!

Lincoln made friends with Bryan's dog, Dude.

All the cousins.

Silly faces!!

After that week... I was so ready for a good relaxing Sabbath day.

Happy Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day to this great man!

I just feel so blessed to have him by my side to help me raise these kiddos.  He is such a good dad to them and loves them so much.  He is constantly thinking of their future needs and doing his best to give them a good life.  He's doing a darn good job of it too.

Love you Dustin!

I am also so thankful for my dad.  He taught me so much growing up by his example of hard work and kindness and patience and love.  He was always so good to take us places and help us make more of the experiences we were having.  He helped me be brave when I didn't want to be and try new things.  I always knew and know he will be on my side should I need anything.

What a blessing to have these great men in my life and to celebrate on this special Sunday.

Folding Arms

I love when they learn to fold their arms.  He is so precious!

Last Day of School

Here are all the kids on their first and last day of school.  School ended on June 4th this year.  I'm feeling a little cheated out of time with the kids since they go back August 30th.  Not a very long summer.  However, it's time to have a great time soaking up every day I can with these little people at home.

Jared's Wedding

Dustin's nephew Jared got married in the Brigham City temple.  We drove to Logan and stayed with our friends the Hughes so we could go to their sealing Saturday morning.  About and hour before we were supposed to be there Dustin remembered our temple recommends had expired 5 days earlier.  We both felt sick that we were going to miss the sealing but even more so that we had let our recommends expire.  We drove to their luncheon and wished them well.

So right before their luncheon Alissa was cruising around on a scooter at the Hughes and took off down a hill and couldn't stop.  She said she flipped forward and landed in a bridge position backwards on her hands and feet.   Thankful her dad was there to help her because I was about to pass out.  Her whole chest and lips and elbows, knees and hands were scraped up.  She wasn't really crying just yelling.

This is what her torn up shirt looked like.

We got her bandaged up and later that day went to the park.  She managed to smile a little.

The other kids had fun.

We went to dinner with the Hughes and then headed for home.  We feel so blessed to have these great friends who allow us to bring our whole crew and crash their house.

The next weekend we had all the Boise family come to town for the reception.  We did a lunch at Leos to celebrate Amy's birthday.

We only stayed at the reception that night for a short time because Dustin had just got home from a scout campout/fundraiser.

It's always so much fun to be with cousins.

That night Bekah and McKenzie got to stay at our house and come to church with us.  The girls were pretty darn excited about that.

It's such a blessing to have so many family members and to be so close to all of them.   I most always come away feeling so overwhelmed with gratitude for such a blessing.  I love them all and can't imagine life without them.

Idaho History & Ella

In 4th grade the kids have been studying Idaho History.  I have loved watching Ella get excited about it.  It is what motivated us to take a trip to Craters of the Moon, Custer County and recently Franklin.
Her class did a couple of rendezvous' and I got to help with the one at the school.  The kids had face paintings done and learned what some of the symbols and colors mean.

I was in charge of mining for chocolate chips.  They used tooth picks to dig the chocolate chips out of cookies as miners would dig gold out of land.  They had to do their best to leave the "landscape" in as good of condition as possible.

Here is a picture of our little trip through Franklin,  We stopped to see the monument but didn't have time to see the museum this go round.

Sure is fun having the kids learn new things and being able to supplement where we can.  Love my family!
