Happy Birthday Alissa!

Since Alissa's birthday landed on a Monday that she had school until 2:30 and then gymnastics until 4:30 we decided we'd do something together on Saturday and we went rollerskating.  She got some new rollerblades for her birthday (a little early) to take along with us and she did fantastic!

She got to bring along her best friend Kassidy.

And as luck would have it, our cousins McKenzie was in town from Boise and was able to join!

The big girls were super nice to help the little girls while Kassidy was learning.

It was a great time!  I was amazed at how well these girls skated.  They had such a great time and worked up a sweat it made me think we should do it a little more often!

Monday morning we gave her a few gifts from the family.

We made Princess waffles that Lincoln seemed pretty happy about.

I picked up doughnuts for her class and took her birthday crown so she could
wear it at the end of the day.

That afternoon a bunch of cute girls showed up for her party.  We played some birthday BINGO.

Pin the crown on the Princess.

And made Shrinky Dinks.  They were a huge hit!  They could have made them all day.

These girls spoiled her with lots of fun presents.

And they were all so nice to pose for me. :)

And then we had a piece of cake and ice cream.  We put Alissa's Shopkins in her cake cause that seems to be the new excitement for her.    I know she liked it.

Grandma Debbie takes the girls shopping on their birthday and somehow Alissa talked grandma into taking her for a pedicure before the shopping trip.  I got these pictures soon after they had left.

We had our combined family home evening that evening at my parents house and Alissa got to open her gifts and everybody shared MORE cake.

One of the things she picked out was BEST COUSIN necklace that she wanted to give to Kaitlynn.

What a spoiled girl!  Sure love her to pieces and thankful to have her in our lives.

Ella's first skiing trip.

This sweet girl wins her dads heart over and over again.  When she found out her school was going skiing this year she jumped at the opportunity and wanted to go.  Dustin loves skiing to he scheduled to go with her one day.

He said they had a few moments where they had to have a little heart to heart and decide whether or not they could do hard things and they got back up and continued on.  She came home bragging how fun it was and how she couldn't wait to go again.  She's so lucky to have her dad who is patient but pushes her to do hard things.  Just like my dad always did.  Love them both so much!

They will be happy when snow falls again next winter.
