Happy 4th of July

On our way back from Taggart Lake we got a text that Sage Hansen was being tested for COVID because she had quickly gotten very sick.  Because we had just been around her that week it meant we had to quarantine also.  So the plans we made to go ride 4 wheelers with mom and dad got postponed and we quarantined at home.  We layed around and watched TV until about 5:30pm and finally, I got everybody up and out the door to go get a soda and go to sandy downs.    Then we went over to a cemetery and talked about a soldier story and came home and lit our package of fireworks we had bought at the store downtown.  It was a very different 4th for everybody this year since the fireworks, parade and all that jazz got canceled due to COVID.   It really is crazy how our lives are being changed for this time.

I keep hoping our family is growing closer together and we are going to be better people from all of this happening.  I trust God is in the details.

Taggart Lake

We had an opportunity to get out and go for a hike as a family so we took it.  Molly got a free National park pass from being a 4th grader so she got us into Grand Teton National Park for free.  We went to Taggart Lake along with half of the US it seemed.  If you like escaping the crowds, the 3rd of July is not the best time to visit a National park so close to your home however I am glad we went.

So fun to see this beautiful falls right as we got onto the trail.

I love the Grand Teton mountains.  They are so majestic and beautiful.  It confirms in my heart that we have a very creative and good God who gave us this earth to enjoy.

It was a warm day so the water was nice along the way to keep the kids cool.  Grace did great and had fun as long as she was on mom's back.

You can see the people behind us as the kids are trying to soak their feet.  Alissa and Molly got to see a tiny bat on the bridge.

On our way back...

I told Lincoln to jump up and pose for me and he jumped up there and kissed his bicep.  It made me laugh so hard.  I love this picture.

Molly talked her little brother into carrying her pack for a few minutes.  I thought he was so sweet to do it.

And we cannot ever go into the woods without my little buddy bringing me some flowers. ♥

Love this man and the fun times we get to have together with our family!!  We have truly been so blessed with an amazing life.  I am thankful to Heavenly Father for all he does for us.
