Scout Camp & Encampment

Encampment was June 26-29th and Dustin went for Thursday-Saturday.  It was a celebration of 100 years of Scouting and the LDS Church.

It was hot and dusty but there were so many good activities for everybody to participate in.

The boy in the middle is in our ward getting ready to start the BMX racing which apparently was the culprit for MANY broken bones that week.

Dustin trying out the climbing wall again.

A good group of boys & leaders.

Our friend Mike Hansen taking his shift belaying at the rock wall.

They each got an opportunity to earn the Thomas S. Monson award and came home with this on a necklace and key ring if they earned it.  Super neat.

July 15-20th Dustin and his Bro. Peterson took 4 of the young men from our ward to Little Lemhi Scout Camp.  Dustin was gone from Monday-Saturday and we missed him tons!  However, as always he came back a better daddy, husband and overall person from the experiences he was able to have serving.

These were just a few of my favorite pictures.  Hunter showing big muscles because hot chocolate makes him strong.

Smiling boys.

Discovering bug spray is flammable.

 Troop 607

Learning some life skills.

That would be my husband, Scoutmaster doing a "Red Bandit" belly flop competition.
I am so glad they brought home pictures so I can laugh at these fun memories.

Apparently they played rock paper scissors to see who got to lick the pudding cup on the
last night after they ate burnt potato flakes for dinner.

Such a blessing to serve in the Young Mens as Scoutmaster.  I don't think they could have picked a better man for the job.  Dustin loves every campout and every activity that he gets to go and hang out with these fun boys.  It's fun to see the excitement spreading over the past few months into other boys and leaders.
