BYU Football

Kenny called and asked Dustin to come to Provo and go to the football game with him.  With not much convincing Dustin said of course!  So we headed down to see Heidi & Kenny.

Playing in some leaves at the rest stop.

Sure love these babies!!  I can't quit kissing their sweet little cheeks!

Lincoln and Russell were in heaven playing together.

Grandpa and Grandma Wheeler live in Linden with my aunt Lois because they both have very severe Alzheimer disease.  We made a quick stop to see them.  It may have been a little chaotic for them.

I found these in the first book I looked through of their mission in Hawaii.  Elder Holland was BYU- Hawaii president at the time they served.

And Elder Nelson and his wife came for a fireside.  So super cool!  My grandparents have been a lot of places and done a lot of things!  It's pretty amazing.  They were ambitious people.

We went to Seven Peaks Funland and played since we still had our passes.  They had changed it up for fall and brought in truck loads of corn kernels for the kids to play in.

It was a delight.

The rollercoaster was running this time so we took a ride on it.  The kids weren't too sure about it at first.  But quickly decided we needed to do it again.

Lincoln even decided to try it out.  It was all good until it took off.  Poor kid!  I should have made him stay off he was a little scared.  But all smiles when it stopped again.

The straw maze was a success minus the allergies they soon caused.

Such a fun trip.  Love these people!

Trains.

Today my baby boy has been sick.  He's had a fever and just been a little bit whiney.  It makes me really see that he is such a mellow child.  He never really whines and does so well to entertain himself most of the day.  If I could have another child just like him I would.  I also have been thinking about how I talked to Alissa's school teacher last week and she had to drop her child off at daycare while he was sick and had been throwing up that morning.  He is a year younger than Lincoln.  I remember when Ella was so little and any time she had any ailment at all I would just skip work.  It killed me to leave her.  I had to work on her first birthday and it was torture but I was the bread winner and it had to be done.  I appreciate so much that Dustin provides so well for our family so I can be home with these little babies.  Even though sometimes are monotony, most of the time is sweetness.  And time goes too quickly.

Today I was watching Lincoln play with his trains.  It reminded me of a day like this when I watched my girls playing with their favorite toys.  They have such tiny hands and concentrate so much on what they are doing and thinking it just fills my heart so full of love for them.  The sun was shining in the window right on him and he peacefully just made the ch ch ch ch sound as he pulled his trains around the track.  I can remember when life was so simple and there wasn't any worries or stresses.  I am happy my kids have had this kind of life.  We have been truly blessed.

A day with Jameson

I asked Cody & Kylie to bring James to our house to hang out with Lincoln for the day.  I took the boys to the UPick pumpkin patch so they could ride the train.  THEY LOVED IT!!

They had fun being free to run through the pumpkin patch and little straw maze and even took a minute to make fun of the chickens that were there.

I seriously love these boys and am thankful they have each other to be buds with for the rest of their lives.

After the pumpkin patch the boys got to come back to the house and watch as the Bonneville homecoming parade came by our house and threw tons of candy at these cute boys.  Lincoln just kept yelling "THANK YOU!  THANK YOU!"  He was all about flying candy!

Star Valley Temple

Our family had the great opportunity to go with our friends, The Hansens and tour the Star Valley temple.  It was the first time my kids had ever been to an open house so it was a super neat opportunity that we enjoyed so much.  The little girls say their favorite part was the sparkly chandeliers and Ella loved the mirrors in the sealing room.  My favorite was as we walked in and saw the stained glass of Christ, Lincoln's reaction caught the attention of multiple people and about brought Dustin and I to tears.  He got so excited and started pointing and wiggling as though he knew exactly what he was pointing to.  And I am sure he did.  Recognizing the face of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Sure am thankful for this family and that we can be together forever.

And for our second little family we love so much!

Family Bike Ride

You know, it really is the simple things that the kids enjoy the most.  I've been wanting to load bikes up and go ride around the river for a while so this weekend we finally did it.  We rode from Freeman Park to Dustin's favorite restaurant, Jaliscos where we shared a big appetizer platter and back to the car at Freeman Park.  The kids had a blast!

We had a small amount of whining in the car heading there because Ella's bike is broke and we had to decide who rides what bike but other than that the kids had so much fun.

On the ride back to the truck, Dustin found a little hill they could cruise down and so we stayed and let them do that about 3 times each until they felt pretty proud of themselves for doing something so brave.

We also stopped and had them sit on this bench while Dustin told the story of proposing to me right on this very bench a little over 14 years ago.  They liked it.

Love this man and am so thankful he is my eternal companion.  I am so blessed he is mine.

We had such a great day.  I'm pretty sure it won't take too much convincing to get the kids to go again soon.  They had a blast.

September Little Things

With school in full swing we didn't do a whole lot in September.  I got involved in some Amazon reviewing products and that was a lot of fun.  I got a very inexpensive hammock which we tried out at grandmas house.

Alan was in town for a reason I can't remember but the boys got together and played some games one night.

Our ward had a corn social and I got to purchase a bunch of items for it which I ended up returning a few.  My sidekick got tired on me.

We tried out some curlers one night that Molly had got for her birthday.  She was obviously pretty excited when we finished.  Ella wanted them in here hair too and ended up tearing them out because they were so hard to sleep in.

Supermodel Alissa showing off the new umbrella.  Hopefully it can get played with a little less than the others so it will last a little longer.

Ella started playing violin the beginning of September and made it to about the middle of October before she decided she would practice piano again.  She was a cute little violin player though but I'm just happy she is playing an instrument.

I've been enjoying more time with my little buddy.  He's such an easy going boy.  I just laid by him on the floor one day and he fell asleep for a nap.

These kids are my whole world.  So blessed to be their mom.

Lost Kittens

While we were gone camping over Labor Day a nice mama cat decided to make our back yard her new home for her kittens.  She brought 5 kittens and hid them behind our shed.  It wasn't long before they were discovered and the kids made them their best friends.   Each kitten had a name and was loved by all.  (except mom and dad I should say)

After so much love the kittens disappeared after 2 days and found a new home thanks to mama cat.  It was a perfect little stay.  I was worried I'd have to find them a new home but glad mama did it for them and that the kids could have some entertainment for a few days.
